For another one of our dear friends for the wedding, I made a zigzag quilt. When I began looking at quilts for ideas, this design always stood out to me as something I wanted to try. It looked fun but not too complicated, and worked well with my picnic theme.
I quilted it using my walking foot and followed about a half an inch away from each zigzag line. I think I prefer to stipple my quilts, but I really loved the way the quilting lines emphasized the pattern when I finished this quilt.
For the back of the quilt, I used large (12 inch, I think) squares of the same fabric from the front and the binding. I love making “reversible” quilts!
Another quilt that was hard to give away– luckily, I can still visit it when I go over to Karen’s house!
