Things have been busy around here– lots of sewing going on, mostly on the weekends (I have some new quilts to share soon!). Plus, I am aiming to finish my dissertation in the next few months, so LOTS of working/writing happening behind the scenes! That’s why I have been in love with the idea of sharing a few snapshots here and there of what’s happening around here– sometimes I get caught up in the idea of writing a full post about a finished project that it’s hard to find the time to blog, but I always have so many little things going on that I’d love to share. Also– ever since I discovered how to use my instagram app on my phone, I’ve been better at documenting the little things!
I have been…
Baking blueberry cake (you can find the recipe here)
Organizing my office:
Documenting some graffiti around town while I walk Simon:
As well as some very cool sidewalk art:
Hitting up the gym– time to get back in shape after my convalescence!
Working on some new projects:
And hanging out with this guy:
What have you all been up to?

Yay, another Viking girl! It’s fun to see these little snapshots. Aren’t graffiti artists amazing? Not that I am condoning their work, but I am always amazed at what they can create with spray paint. I can hardly keep it under control on a picture frame! Can’t wait to see more of that new project, too. Good luck with the dissertation, not envious of that at all!!
Your dog is precious and that sidewalk art is wonderful.
I like the snapshots (and the super cute dog)! I also find it tough to relinquish the whole post on a quilt, but little glimpses are cool too
Snippets are fun! Love the colors in your new project.
Love the little glimpses of your daily experiences. I’m watching Hoarders (why??) and finishing up some embroidered pillowcases I started two years ago. Not too exciting but you did ask!
Ooh, new project looking good! Tonight I made carrot cake just for fun. Yah for yummy!
Just found your blog this morning and the minute I saw the castle I knew it was Squires! I’ve lived in the area all my life and spent many days crawing around the castle with my kids when they were young. How refreshing to see your beautiful quilts featured there. Stained Glass for sure!
