Which sashing color looks better with my Flea Market Fancy squares– light grey, or a crisp white?

(Sorry– I know it’s hard to tell the difference in the pictures.) I just can’t decide which sashing color to go with. Do you have a preference? Which would you pick?

that’s a tough one…but I’m a little partial to the gray.
i really would chose white. i love kona white though. i am going to buy a whole bolt of it next time i go to joanns… i think the white sets the vibrant colors in blocks off and the grey kind of pulls the color out of them.
I think I’d vote for grey… although you’re right that it’s kind of hard to see the difference in the pictures. :}

These colors say crisp white, to me. They are so filled with bright whiteness, themselves. I do adore Kona Bone and Ash and buy them by the bolt, but for this one, I say one of the whites. But that’s just me….

Those blocks look so pretty in bright colors.

looking at the solid surrounds I vote white, or snow, or bone…… but Im kinda partial to more mixed solid sashing with the only prints being the FMF… which is not what you asked but Im just saying..:)
My vote goes for the white. I think either way will look great, but I think those awesome bright colors would be best complemented by the white.
In this case I would with certainty chose the white.
It depends on what kind of “feel” you’re going for. In my opinion if its crisp light I would say white. If it’s more of a snuggly, relaxed the light grey feels that way to me. I wonder what they’d look like with a darker color – like a dark blue or brown or darker grey. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!

i vote for white cripst- it makes the colors pop.
I like the grey. I seems a bit more restful than the white.
White – the grey in the blocks seems to get lost on the grey.

I vote for white. I’m in love with gray right now, but I think these would really pop and look lovely with white.
I’m just a beginner but I like how white sashing gives everything a crisp, fresh look. However, I’ve seen some stunning quilts with dark grey sashing!
I thought I had commented on this already but realized I had just read it but not commented yet – oops! I think I prefer the white – it will really make the bright colors pop. But I think the grey would look nice too!
I think it’s up to you. I have heard in quilt guild before that sometimes white pops even more than the colors, but I would just lay them both out and listen to your heart!
